Message from the East

Greetings Brethren, 

On behalf of the brethren of Coronation Lodge, I would like  to begin this month’s message from the East by congratulating R.W.  Bro. Robert on becoming our newest District Deputy  Grand Master. I would also like to thank him for choosing Coronation  Lodge last month as the lodge for his first fraternal visit. It was a  privilege and honour to have GND’s newest DDGM in attendance to  partake in the work of the evening. 

I would also like to congratulate Coronation’s V.W. Bro.  Dave on his appointment as a Grand Steward. I know he will  serve and support the District well. 

Next, I would like to congratulate Bro. Ryan, W. Bro.  John’s son, on his being raised to the Sublime Degree of a  Master Mason at last month’s meeting and on his excellent work. I  would also like to take a moment to thank RW Bro. Win and the Shriner degree team for their excellent work of the evening in raising  Bro. Ryan and making it a memorable one for both him and his father.  It is a proud moment for a number of us in lodge to see sons move  through their Masonic journeys and follow in our footsteps. 

Our August meeting will be a very special meeting for  Coronation Lodge as we will be welcoming the the Grand Master,  Most Worshipful Bro. Arthur M. Di Cecco, The Grand Master of the  Grand Lodge of Canada, in the Province of Ontario, on his visit to Coronation Lodge No. 466. It will also be another special evening for  W. Bro. John as we raise his son-in-law, Bro. Chris to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason in the presence of the  Grand Master along with present and past Grand Lodge officers. I  encourage the brethren of Coronation Lodge to come out to the  meeting to meet the Grand Master and to support Bro. Messecar in  his continued Masonic journey. 

Finally as is our annual tradition at the August meeting, we  will be hosting our annual BBQ at Heritage Park starting at 5:30pm  by donation with proceeds going to the District Project. I encourage  the brethren to come out and enjoy a great meal and great fellowship  before the commencement of our meeting. 

Don’t forget lodge will open at 7pm to take care of business  so we can welcome in our visitors promptly at 7:30pm. 

I would also like to send a very special greeting  to all our shut-in’s at this time.
